Get The Low-down On Lost&Found’s Eli Nissan And Hear His Latest Mix

Eli Nissan, has been at the centre of Tel Aviv’s creative hub for well over two decades as DJ, musician and producer. Home to some of the underground dance industry’s most exciting talents, the native Israeli is the latest artist to emerge from a stable that includes the likes of Guy Mantzur, Khen and Guy J.

First starting his career as a guitarist and member of the funk band “Portrait”, Eli Nissan had already established a reputation as a polished performer and took his inspiration from rock icons like Jimmy Hendrix, Prince and Jimmy Page. A parallel interest in Motown, funk and disco, saw him later move to DJing, as the sounds of Frankie Knuckles, M.A.W ,Kenny Dope and David Morales fuelled his artistic imagination.

As a producer, he signed early tracks to ALOLA, Addictive Records and Josecki’s Micasa Recordings. Nissan’s straight-up house helped pave the way for a shift in musical direction later.

After taking a break from the industry in 2011, Nissan became a much sought after studio producer and began working with some of the leading artists in the Israeli scene, creating numerous albums and projects en route.

2015 saw his return to the underground DJ scene in Tel Aviv hometown and start producing again under his own name. Supported by close friends, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Chicola and Khen, Nissan’s skill behind the decks in the techno/deep house genres, quickly earned him an impressive array of gigs, that saw him appear alongside Guy J, Marc Romboy and Guy Mantzur, plus perform in front of audiences of 70,000 at “Gay Parade” and 100,000 at Bedrock’s iconic party with John Digweed.

Regular appearances at the legendary “The Cat & The Dog” club in the Israeli capital, as well as a residency at the city’s über cool, “ARIA”, launched Eli Nissan onto the international stage. Ibiza gigs for “Beach House” and pool parties for “Destino Pacha” in summer 2016 were followed by a performance at Amsterdam Dance Event for the “Movement Recordings Showcase” in October the same year, further paving the way for his South American tour of Argentina in May 2017.

Eli Nissan’s production have seen him release on labels like Plattenbank, MNL, Stripped, and Movement Recordings. Supported by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J, chart success, he made his debut on Guy J’s Lost & Found imprint recently and also has new releases planned on Plattenbank, Guy Gerber’s Rumors and Guy J and Sahar Z’s brand new Armadillo label.
