Following Light – Oracle Remixes (Superordinate Music)

Superordinate Music returns this week and presents a new set of remixes for Following Light’s ‘Oracle’.

Following Light - Oracle Remixes (Superordinate Music)

Originally released in December of 2015 it marked the Ukrainian artist’s debut on the label and lead to 5 additional appearances. Now in the heat of the summer season we see Superordinate unveiling three brand new interpretations from DJ Puk, Demian Moreno and Neptun 505.

First up DJ Puk makes his label debut following excellent releases for Nikko.Z’s Dopamine Music and Paul Hazendonk’s MNL. The Italian artist puts his own deep spin on the track with excellent results. Beginning with lazy beats and spacey designs you get sucked into its wonky hypnotic drawl quite quickly. Glowing atmosphere’s and aquatic sounds add tasteful emotive qualities but what’s most impressive is it’s soulful mindset and effortless glide. This one’s a joy to listen to from start to finish and doesn’t push for any unnecessary big moments. Great remix from DJ Puk.

Next up Demian Moreno also makes his first appearance and provides a mix in his own deep progressive style. The Argentinean artist has been quiet for all of 2016 with this being his first production since a remix of Basil O’Glue’s ‘Will To Believe’ on Saturate Audio from February of 2015. It’s certainly a welcome return and Demian does not disappoint with a wispy atmospheric take that reinvents the main themes wonderfully. Staying true to the original’s sense of restraint Demian adds his own subtle touches, particularly coming out of the main break which makes for the records defining moment before a dreamy conclusion. Great remix from Demian and hope to hear more from him soon.

The release concludes with Neptun 505 who rounds out the last of three artist debuts on the label. The Polish producer is a frequent contributor to both Electronic Tree and Stellar Fountain where his wide range of progressive moods have flourished. His ‘Oracle’ interpretation is certainly the biggest and most progressive minded of the three so it closes the release out on a high note. A noticeable shift in energy combined with the angelic qualities of the original makes the mix ideal for both your mind and feet. The main break perfectly sets up the most emotive stretch on the release with a third act filled with heartfelt moments that should satisfy the old school lovers quite nicely. Superb remix from Neptun 505 and another quality offering from Superordiante Music. Don’t miss it.
