Loco & Jam drop a hypnotic techno remix of StoKed on Deep Therapy

Available as a Beatport exclusive on June 26th, and all other stores July 10th.

Canadian label Deep Therapy drops a new EP from StoKed who presents two original tracks accompanied by a remix from Loco & Jam of labels including Drumcode, Tronic and Octopus.

StoKed is a name that might be new to some, but he is hotly tipped as a breakout artist from the techno scene in India.

India isn’t currently a country that’s widely associated with techno or electronic music on a whole, but pioneering artists like StoKed and Arjun Vagale have been working hard to help grow the local scene.

StoKed’s two original works are impressive tracks with strong hooks in both and a relentless energy that will get the dance floor moving. The release’s title track “Deeper Passion” has lots of different sections and is constantly evolving to keep building anticipation and keep first time listeners on their toes.

Loco & Jam’s rework of Deeper Passion is quite possibly the most stand out track on the EP, as their releases on genre leading labels like Drumcode, Tronic and Octopus is what will most likely draw many people to this EP and they certainly don’t disappoint with their stylish remix. Picking out the original’s vocal and a couple of other key parts, they have made a more understated version with great atmosphere.

“The People” is the second original and it closes out the release nicely, as it’s the perfect middle ground between the two versions of Deeper Passion. It’s got the steady momentum similar to the Loco & Jam remix, but still has the stand out hooks trademark to StoKed’s style. Very much a game of two halves, it steps up a gear after the main break and is unrelenting in its dance floor devastation that will have any crowd going wild.
