With Ri Za’s ‘Arcanum’ EP out this week on Balkan Connection, we take a look at his favourite tracks of the moment in the latest edition of What’s In Your Box?

RiZa

1. John Belk – Silver Surfer (Original Mix) [Knee Deep In Sound]

“I love to play this one, liking the build and main vocal loop. Nice rising synth making energy powerup from time to time. Working very good on a floor in a peak time”

2. Andre Crom – Solstice (original mix) [OFF]

“This track demonstrate really nice deep vibe provided by Andre Crom. Typical deep sequence and bassline going to evolving breakdown landed with fine arpeggio layers. Good track to start pulling people dance on the floor, but also great for a coffee lounge. Solid deep”

3. Just Hear – Uni Verse (Pole Folder Remix) [Reworck]

“Was a great pleasure when I first heard this remix, its just simply Pole Folder perfection on this one. Nice atmospheric beginning leading to deep techy vibes and hypnotic vocal creating feeling you are somewhere out at the spaceship on the edge of the universe. Always playing this in 1st hours of my sets”

4. Arthur & Flexible Fire Ft. Ger Reccitelli – All My Plans (Kastis Torrau & Arnas D Remix) [WATU]

“My favourite producers so far, following their music and when this landed to my studio I was overhelmed again, by power and solid groove which can Kastis and Arnas produce very well. Strong powerful signature bassline and perfectly driven percussion vibes doesn’t let you sit and makes you dive into depth of a marvelous vocal tunnel.”

5. Khen – Pollen Spreader (Luca Bacchetti Endless Remix) [microCastle]

“Another microCastle release, another masterpiece. Following Khen music and Luca Bacchetti a lot. Pumping basslines, nice dreamy sequences dipped in beautiful reverb creating neverending space in Sunflakes, also loving Lucas remix on both tracks. Simply the best what can progressive world offer”

6. Mischa, Beverly Hills – Rocky (original mix) [Baroque Records]

“Always a pleasure to open new Baroque promos and this one is no exception! Amazing track, cool sound, dope energy, I am jumping when playing this, this track just simply drives me and the crowd crazy, perfectly arranged track, pumping tech energy and mesmerizing vocal. Such music I love”

7. Amber Long, Robert Mason – Aquatica (Jamie Stevens remix) [Stripped Records]

“So… this one is a great connection, Jamie Stevens and his hypno techy remix and super sexy Amber vocal. For a long period Jamie represents top notch music to me, also Amber is super kind being it’s always great pleasure to work or just chat with her. This track is just simply bombarder”

8. Lydmor & Bon Homme – Missed Out On Disco (Pole Folder & Just Hear Remix) [hfn Music]

“This track is a great tool for closing or beginning of a set. Delighted mood and cool indie synths travelling through Lydmor sweet melancholic vocal. Its amazing to collaborate on remix like this with talented guy like Pole Folder. This is the track I could listen hours in loop. Just beautiful”

9. Ryan Davis, Microtrauma – Harmonia [Traum]

“Traum is a label I am following for a years. Each release is solid and this is no exception. Truly nice dark vibes, minimalistic but yet powerful percussion. Main lead leaves you in depth of oceans and lot of psychoacoustic textures, this is what only Microtrauma, Ryan Davis and Max Cooper can deliver in such proportions”

10. Traveltech – Invasion (Ri Za remix)  [238 West]

“I had a great time making this remix, its mixture of progressive and tech so lets say progressive techno. Rolling Moog bass, techy percussions, powerful kick leads you to the peak time of this track which results in outer space pad and effected sounds from NASA. Tryied it last Friday for a first time and people loved it”
