1. If you had to pick one track which solidified your love for electronic music early on what would it be?

Mmmmm, i´m very influenced by Laurent Garnier; probably the whole “Shot in the Dark “ album made the difference, but I must say that the first track of the album “Shapes Underwater” was a revelation to me, it was like “ this is not what I used to listen to”.

2. What was your first and last DJ gig?

My first gig was on “Area Brava”, a little village disco, here in Galicia. It was so nice because I began as a producer and I made a “live” just with a Roland MC-303, if I´m not wrong could be on 1999. It was so nice because in that time the electronic parties just began, so, the crowd was very intense.

My last gig was on March, on Madrid at Specka Club, this time it was a live as well, with my fellas from “Electronic Colours”, who are always supporting my job, thanks a lot to them. Fifteen years after, things had changed a lot, as you can see, I´m not producing hard-techno at 145 bpm, and i´m not using my old Roland to produce my tracks, but i´m still felling well when I play.

3. What was the first and last record you purchased?

Could you believe that I don´t remember no one of them? I must say that the first vinyl that somebody gave it to me was a “Dragon Ball Soundtrack” when I was 5 and the first CD I bought was probably “The Lion King”, more less on the same time, but I don´t remember the first vinyl, i´m pretty sure that it was a “Primate” or an “Intec” or something like that. I stopped buying music in vinyl between 2006-2008, but I was a super fan of Release Records and all the progressive breaks from that age, so.. you never know, probably one of them.

4. What would you say is the highlight of your career thus far?

I don´t think I have a real highlight, probably I must be proud because many of the artist I admired when I was a teen are actually playing my music nowdays, but I´m always looking for new things and goals, and my goals are to see myself having success in year 2020 thinking in how many times the David from 2014 was thinking in have success.

5. Tell us something about yourself that might surprise people?

I was a whole summer in Ibiza and I don´t know Amnesia and Pacha, is this surprising enough?

6. Who are some of the best undiscovered talents in your eyes?

First of all I must name a guy who was with me on The Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp, his name is “Lost Twin”, and I love his music and “live”. “Animal Picnic”, from my land and label, I wish them the best. And the last one “I Hate You”, you will know many thing about this guy really soon.

7. Which producers consistently inspire you?

Many of them, i´m going to tell you just a few: Amon Tobin, Clark, Flying Lotus, Trentemoller, Ame, Vince Watson, Ian O´Donovan, Tycho, Port Royal.

8. What artist or track would you love to remix? And who would you love to be remixed by?

I would love to remix bands and have my own version of them, but I know that´s not easy. I would like to remix or be remixed by Clark, it´s a fucking genius. Laurent Garnier would be a first choice as well, I show so much respect for him

9. Record labels are a dime a dozen these days and the majority of people feel most of them are mediocre music factories. Which ones if any standout for you?

Well, we have many of them which are still free of contamination, for example “Warp”, “Ninja Tune”,“Ghostly International” or “Innervisions”.

10. What would you say is the best mix compilation of all time?

Nick Warren And Danny Howells – Renaissance: Revelation

12. If the final DJ/live set of your career was next week what would your last track be?

It would be a track by myself, I have spent half life working in my studio, so them deserve this position in my hypothetical last dj/set ;).
