Berlin techno mainstay Alexander Kowalski gets set to inaugurate his Cycles Music imprint with a raw, performance-driven two-track EP
Berlin-based techno producer Alexander Kowalski launches his brand-new record label, Cycles Music, with the official release of his highly anticipated Alexander Kowalski Live 2 EP on July 3rd, 2026, distributed globally across physical and digital formats via Labelworx, Matter Of Fact, and Bandcamp.
The release marks a notable evolutionary step for the producer, arriving more than two decades after his seminal Live album on Kanzleramt in early 2000. That initial record established his solo identity and introduced a performance-driven approach to electronic music. This new two-track configuration bridges his established club legacy with a contemporary sonic direction.
Performance-Driven Techno Built for the Floor
The tracks on the EP, titled “Live 2.1” and “Live 2.2”, originated directly from his hardware performance setups. Both arrangements have undergone extensive testing across international festival stages and club sound systems prior to studio finalisation. This methodology replicates the raw energy and immediate physical impact that characterised his early career outputs.
The Philosophy of Cycles Music
The launch of Cycles Music establishes a dedicated platform for material that extends beyond functional club tools. The imprint operates on the conceptual framework that electronic music unfolds through repetition, variation, and structural transformation. For the label head, this framework represents an ongoing progression rather than an exercise in dancefloor nostalgia.
The package will be available across digital formats and as a physical vinyl press, setting a clear stylistic benchmark for the imprint’s upcoming release schedule.
