Be Your Own Studio celebrates its fifth anniversary with Be Vol.5, a two-part VA release that underscores the label’s dedication to emotional depth over transient trends.
The Be Your Own Studio compilation features a new track by founder Nauleone, marking a significant milestone in the label’s journey.
From Oxbin’s broken ballad “Breaking” to the immersive textures of OCKTIVE’s “How deep would you dive in?”, Be Vol.5 showcases a range of emotive electronic music. Tracks like CARMICHAEL & Gleezy’s “Becoming” and Idriss Reina’s introspective “MØDE” radiate analog warmth and melodic restraint, tailored for sunrise sets and deep-listening sessions alike. In an era where labels often prioritize visibility over identity, Be Vol.5 serves as a testament to the belief that true vision evolves gradually and authentically.
Nauleone, born and raised in Madrid, Spain, founded Be Your Own Studio in 2020 with a mission to prioritize emotional resonance in electronic music. His work spans various genres, including melodic house, techno, and ambient, often blending cinematic elements to create what he terms “Emotional Electronic Music”
Beyond his label, Nau has composed music for the Netflix series Valeria and collaborated with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ian Urbina on The Outlaw Ocean Music Project. His tracks have received support from industry figures such as Black Coffee, Faithless, and Claptone

The addition of Nau’s new track in Be Vol.5 reflects his ongoing commitment to the label’s ethos and its evolution over the past five years. This release not only celebrates the label’s anniversary but also reinforces its dedication to curating music that resonates on a deeper emotional level.
