Boa Nova Festival 2026: João Gomes and Liniker Headline London’s New Brazilian Landmark

The Columbo Group has unveiled the full lineup for Boa Nova Festival 2026, a dedicated celebration of Brazilian contemporary music taking place at Leyton Jubilee Park on Friday, 22nd May 2026. This inaugural edition brings seminal artists together for a unique London event, featuring a lineup comprised exclusively of Brazilian talent to mark the UK/Brazil Season of Culture.

Set across two stages, the festival is headlined by a trio of pioneering voices: João Gomes, the piseiro sensation behind the 2025 standout Pé de Serrita and his recent Trapzeiro (Meu Piseiro Brasileiro) EP; Liniker, the soul-MPB icon whose Latin Grammy-winning Indigo Borboleta Anil and 2024-25 Caju album cycle have redefined the genre; and Mari Froes, whose recent 2026 single “Colombina” continues her rise as a premier voice in modern Brazilian folk-pop.

“After years of sold-out shows at the Jazz Cafe for London’s Brazilian community, we’re excited to bring our most ambitious lineup yet to an outdoor celebration of Brazilian music this May Bank Holiday.”

The main stage will also feature A Música De Tim Maia, a project honouring the soul legacy of Tim Maia, alongside D. Vyzor. A second, dance-orientated stage, created in partnership with Baile Funk Culture, shifts the energy toward electronic grooves. This lineup includes the legendary DJ Patife—famous for his liquid-drum and bass anthem “Sambassim”—joined by Caio Prince, Th4ys, Bronka, and Mango & Ginger. Together, they represent the evolving sounds of Brazil’s electronic underground.

Boa Nova is designed to place Brazilian music on equal footing with London’s established festival culture. Beyond the music, the site will feature immersive activities including live samba drumming, Samba de Malandro, and carnival-inspired performances. The culinary offering is equally authentic, with vendors like Aroma Grill and Broll Grill serving traditional Brazilian Churrasco.

Waltham Forest residents can access discounted tickets at £35, with a limited number of complimentary tickets available via ballot. Tickets are available now for what is set to be a significant addition to the UK’s festival circuit.
