BOMA returns to Rio de Janeiro with its boldest Carnival programme yet, taking over the Museu do Amanhã for six nights of electronic music during Carnival 2026.
From February 13 to 21, BOMA transforms one of Latin America’s most iconic museums into a playground for electronic sound, blending the city’s historic Carnival energy with forward-looking club culture. Set against Guanabara Bay and designed by Santiago Calatrava, the Museu do Amanhã becomes a stage where Brazil’s ancestral celebration of freedom meets contemporary electronic music, architecture, and collective experience.
Born Of Music Addiction, BOMA has evolved from a single party into a cultural platform at the intersection of music, art, fashion, and modern social behaviour. Its philosophy focuses on how music inhabits space and how communal experiences are formed, not just who is on the line-up. That approach—centred on experience, curatorial vision, community, and cultural influence—has made BOMA one of Brazil’s most respected boutique platforms.
The programme kicks off on February 13 with Jamie Jones, Adam Ten b2b Mita Gami, Miguelle & Tons, and GIU, establishing the week’s rhythm of global house fused with BOMA’s signature flow. Black Coffee takes over on February 14, guiding an afro-house-focused night with Carlita, Ahmed Spins, Bhaskar, Jackson, Malive, and Unfazed, highlighting the genre’s rich roots and contemporary resonance.
February 16 brings Mochakk, Dennis Cruz, a Bob Moses club set, OsGemeos, and Halfcab, bridging generations with a mix of new-school energy and seasoned club sensibilities. The next night, ARTBAT and CamelPhat headline alongside LP Giobbi, Departamento, and Tato, turning the museum into a cinematic dancefloor of melodic and immersive sounds.
The emotional high point lands on February 20 with Vintage Culture, WhoMadeWho in a hybrid DJ set, Omri, Eli Iwasa, and Doozie. Champions Friday coincides with the announcement of Rio’s winning samba school, merging electronic music with one of Carnival’s most iconic moments.
The week closes on February 21 with Dawn Patrol hosts Maz and Antdot, featuring Kölsch, Riascode, and Bakka. The sunrise finale becomes a ritual of release and connection, cementing BOMA’s place in the city’s Carnival narrative.
