Brighton Music Conference (BMC) has revealed its second wave of speakers and artists for the 2026 edition, taking place across Brighton’s seafront venues from 20th to 23rd May 2026.
The UK’s primary electronic music and networking event Brighton Music Conference now boasts over 200 confirmed names, including high-profile additions like Denis Sulta and Irvine Welsh. Set against the backdrop of Brighton beach and the iconic pier, the award-winning event returns with a packed programme of talks, workshops, and networking sessions designed for the modern dance music professional.
Over 100 newly confirmed artists and speakers have joined the bill, featuring the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Abigail Bailey, Andy Barlow (Lamb), Angie Brown, Brandon Block, and Coco Cole. These names bolster an already impressive lineup that includes Anja Schneider, Anne Savage, Arielle Free, Beardyman, Booker T, and Dave Seaman. The conference remains the essential hub for tracking industry trends and fostering connections within the global electronic scene.
The Four-Theatre Programme
The 2026 edition operates across four distinct theatres, each catering to specific pillars of the industry. Following its debut last year, the Wellbeing programme returns to Theatre 1. Supported by Anderson Acoustics and hosted at the Tempest, this space addresses critical topics including burnout, neurodiversity, mental health, and sobriety. Speakers such as Emma Cordell (Downtown), Jono Heale (ACS), and Phil Hartnoll (ORBITAL) lead discussions alongside daily yoga and soundbaths.
Theatre 2, hosted in collaboration with pointblank at Players, focuses on practical education. Attendees can access in-depth workshops on track production, vocal techniques, social media strategy, and immersive audio. These sessions are led by experts including Ski Oakenfull, Huxley, with additional support from industry leaders Technics and Loopmasters.
Production and Industry Insights
Theatre 3, located at Horizon, serves the DJ/Producer programme. This year features a keynote interview with Dave Seaman (Brothers in Rhythm / Selador) and milestone celebrations for 30 years of Hospital Records and 50 years of Greg Wilson. Panels will cover artist development, writing camps, and DIY career management with guests like Jess Bays and Seamus Haji.
The industry-focused Theatre 4, running in collaboration with Skiddle at The Carousels, tackles business fundamentals. Discussions will range from label contracts and music rights to AI integration and the annual Beatport Hour. Professionals from Bandcamp, Armada Music, and Defected will be on hand to provide senior-level insight into the shifting commercial landscape.
