Editorial & Standards

1. Purpose

Change Underground is committed to accuracy, transparency, and accountability in all editorial content. Our Corrections Policy outlines how we address errors, factual inaccuracies, or omissions in our articles, features, and investigative reporting.

2. Commitment to Accuracy

  • All content undergoes a rigorous fact-checking process prior to publication.
  • We strive to present verified information regarding artists, releases, industry events, and global news.
  • Editorial staff are responsible for the primary verification of all quotes, data points, and legal references.

3. Reporting Errors

Readers, artists, and industry professionals are encouraged to report factual inaccuracies directly to our editorial team via: jamie@change-underground.com

Reports should include the Article Title, URL, and a specific description of the inaccuracy along with supporting evidence where possible.

4. Corrections Procedure

  • Minor Errors: Typographical errors or formatting mistakes may be corrected “silently” to maintain readability.
  • Significant Errors: Factual inaccuracies, misquotes, or misleading information will be corrected promptly. A formal correction notice will be added to the article, clearly indicating what was changed and the date of the amendment.
  • Ongoing Stories: When an investigative piece is updated with new developments, a prominent “Updated” timestamp will be displayed to maintain a transparent timeline of events.

5. Transparency & Integrity

  • All significant corrections are clearly labeled to ensure our audience is aware of the modification.
  • Change Underground does not remove or “unpublish” content to obscure errors; we believe trust is maintained through honesty and the public record of accountability.

6. Editorial Responsibility

  • Senior Editors are responsible for reviewing all correction requests submitted by staff, contributors, or the public.
  • Management oversees the consistent implementation of this policy across all platforms, including social media and newsletters.

7. Commitment to Continuous Improvement

We regularly audit our editorial workflows to identify the root causes of inaccuracies. Staff receive ongoing training in advanced fact-checking, source cross-referencing, and ethical investigative standards to minimise future errors.
