The latest release on System Records welcomes Crazy Fluke back to the label for a brand new EP.
The UK producer made his production debut on the US imprint in September of 2012 with a remix of Hakan Ludvigson’s ‘Wolph’. Crazy Fluke then went on to record singles and EP’s for AMAdea, Dansant and the Clubstream labels. Now returning to System for his fourth appearance Crazy Fluke presents his latest EP entitled ‘Genetic Diversity’ which promises to be his best work to date.
Beginning his career with an electro influenced sound Crazy Fluke has been crafting a much deeper more tech house oriented sound of late and that’s exactly what we get on the lead track ‘Another Planet’. Beginning with a smooth hypnotic groove and intriguing vocal elements there’s an air of mystery at the outset. Grinding synths expertly get worked into the mix, before an elegant motif lifts the track higher. These blissful lines carry the piece into the main break where more heartwarming themes develop and ultimately deliver an amazing conclusion.
The companion piece ‘Machine Got Soul’ finds Crazy Fluke with a funky dance floor jam. The drummy groove and smooth rhythms make for a great start before some vocal stabs bring the energy up a notch. A meandering motif adds a dreamy quality while the main break delivers some great tension with a calculated build and massive payoff. Two excellent cuts from Crazy Fluke who is definitely a name to watch out for.
