Damir Ludvig and Everbeatz – Gestures (Clinique Recordings)

Damir Ludvig and Everbeatz - Gestures

The latest release on Clinique Recordings finds Damir Ludvig and Everbeatz making their label debut with ‘Gestures’.

Damir Ludvig and Everbeatz - Gestures

Hailing from Croatia and Serbia respectively this is Damir and Everbeatz first collaboration together and long time Russian duo the Magnetic Brothers have been called up to remix the production.

Damir’s discography includes a broad range of releases on housey labels like House of House all the way through to more progressive oriented imprints like Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank. His first collaboration with Everbeatz comes in decidedly progressive and it’s excellently put together. The tough kick, well carved groove and vocal storyboard make it quite contemporary sounding and it could certainly fit into a Guy J or Hernan Cattaneo set quite easily. The wonky stabs in the third act give it some additional flair and make for an intense finale with the vocal elements and spacey electronics firing on all cylinders. Huge tune from Damir and Everbeatz.

The lone remix of ‘Gestures’ is provided by the Magnetic Brothers who are making their first appearance on Clinique Recordings. The Deep Blue Eyes label bosses have been delivering great work all throughout 2015. Their ‘You Hear Me’ single along with originals and remixes for Balkan Connection and System Recordings have been sensational. They more than keep that strong momentum going with their ‘Gestures’ interpretation here. With a more melodic take the Magnetic Brothers bring their own emotional vibe to the production. Gorgeous lead lines twist and turn all through the journey while the acidic complement and floaty melodic overlay provides the icing on the cake. Excellent remix from the Magnetic Brothers and a great release from Clinique Recordings. Can’t wait to hear more from Damir Ludvig and Everbeatz.
