Our good friends at Baires Records are back this week after a bit of a break. The labels last release came two months ago with Diego Azocar’s fabulous ‘Recall’. The 28th release on Baires is out this week and it sees the return of Derek Howell to the label. The US producer last appeared with his ‘Un Poema Cinematografico’ collaboration with Faskil. Here Derek teams up with vocalist Mz Sunday Luv for the deep house gem ‘Here We Go Again’ which comes with remixes from: Lonya & Andrew McDonnell and Dark Soul Project and Santiago Garcia.

The original version certainly goes down as one of Derek’s deepest and most soulful sounding productions ever. Full of soft tones, silky smooth vocals and a wealth of cool electronics that are unmistakable Derek Howell ‘Here We Go Again’ is going to be a real gem for the more cutting edge deep house Djs out there.

The first remix sees Canadian producer Andrew McDonnell teaming up with Asymmetric label boss Lonya. Together the pair have crafted a funky, tech house rework that really delivers. The percussive, floor friendly groove is totally infectious and the rhythmic tones in combination with a wonderful set of bass stabs provides an incredible groove. This production really has it all; great melodic moments, a killer groove, cool vocals and a sure fire dance floor sensibility that’s going to be played by a broad range of DJs for sure. Top notch stuff from Andrew and Lonya.

The final two interpretations are provided by the Baires label bosses Santiago Garcia and Dark Soul Project. Santi and Ivan keep things deep and soulful but still with some great dance floor punch. The duos tech house framework is almost unmistakable now and with all of Derek’s great parts twisted just right you’ve another gem from the Baires bosses. Dark Soul Project and Santi have also provided a dub which has the same killer groove but focuses more on the hypnotic vocal loops which are undeniably catchy. An outstanding package from Baires with all the mixes really delivering. Highly recommended. Release Promo Hype Chart Top 25
