In a former industrial zone along the Dortmund-Ems Canal, Docklands Festival marked its 15th anniversary with a full day-and-night celebration of underground electronic music, taking over the gritty, graffiti-streaked grounds of Münster’s Hawerkamp.
Once again, the festival transformed raw steel structures, abandoned rail lines, and weathered buildings into a striking backdrop for forward-thinking sounds. The lineup was stacked: Solomun made his long-anticipated return to the Docklands decks, while a b2b set from ÂME and DJ Holographic stood out as a clear highlight. Elsewhere, Patrick Mason, Alis b2b Trancemaster Krause, and Kalte Liebe (LIVE) delivered sets that matched the energy of the industrial surroundings.
This year also brought fresh visual flair, with new stage designs including the debut of the Rail Stage, hosted by HE.SHE.THEY. and Kittball Records. Wherever you turned, the production was razor-sharp, towering LED walls, immersive lighting setups, and finely tuned sound systems, held together by Docklands’ signature DIY spirit and attention to detail.
Here are some of the best photos from the weekend.
