Legendary producer Dousk returns to Movement Recordings for the labels 68th overall release. The Greek producer shot into the electronic music spotlight in 2004 with releases on John Digweed’s Bedrock imprint; subsequent releases on Vapour, Lost Language and Global Underground soon followed and with that Dousk became one of the most in demand producers from the talent rich country of Greece. Dousk made his Movement Recordings debut in April of 2011 with a remix of Chris Mozio & Nikko Z’s ‘Monotony’. He followed that up six months later with his first Movement single entitled ‘Stepp’ and to date has now delivered two more originals and has appeared on the label a total of five times. Dousk’s new single for Movement is entitled ‘Sleipnir’ and it’s the Greek producers first production of 2013.
Dousk’s punchy, dynamic grooves are certainly evident on ‘Sleipnir’ as the composition begins with his signature rolling momentum. Effervescent accents and crisp electronics slowly surround the framework which leads to the introduction of the melodic lead. The aquatic sounding keys dance about with a harmonious interlace and subtle melancholic flair which the airy pads that sit as the backdrop showcase so well. The subtle musicality weaves it’s way in and out of the tough floor friendly groove as the track reaches an emotionally satisfying finish which your dance floor should remember long after the night is over.
