Suffused Music returns this week for what is undoubtedly the labels biggest release to date. Suffused has been on a solid run during the summer months and the last quarter of 2013 looks even more promising for them. The labels 7th overall release sees JOSEL making his first appearance with a new single entitled ‘Jenny The Junkie’ which comes with remixes from: Demian Deep, Digital Department and Napalm.

JOSEL is a Greek born but now UK based producer who already has some impressive credits on his discography. JOSEL’s productions have graced the Movement, Polytechnic, Baroque, Jetlag, LuPS and Stripped imprints and his debut for Suffused might be one of his best yet. ‘Jenny The Junkie’ is a deeper and more groove based progressive house production that’s aimed squarely at the dance floor. The spacious, percussive groove really has a lot to offer. From the well shaped bass stabs to the tension filled tones ‘Jenny The Junkie’ is a masterful club production from start to finish. Great stuff from JOSEL.

The first remix comes from Demian Deep which as many of you may know is an alias of Argentinean producer Demian Moreno. Demian debuted his new alias just last month with a remix of Neftali Blasko’s ‘Time Traveller’ which was heavily supported by Hernan Cattaneo who played the track on his Resident Delta FM radio show. Demian continues the deeper vibe of the new moniker here with a fabulous interpretation of ‘Jenny The Junkie’. The smooth blissed out atmospheres that made his ‘Time Traveller’ remix so great play a huge part here as well. The sombre vocal pads are highly emotional and the overall hypnotic nature of the track is really intoxicating. Another winner from Demian and one that fans of Hernan Cattaneo should certainly check out.

The next interpretation comes from Digital Department who is making his third appearance on Suffused. The Russian producer last delivered a breaks interpretation of Javanny’s ‘Dreamer’ which helped the release get into the top 25 of the Beatport Breaks chart. For his ‘Jenny The Junkie’ remix Digital Department has returned to his much loved progressive house style and delivered a funky interpretation that is very good. The soft and soothing atmospheres that get showcased during the drop are the perfect interlude to reintroduce the bass heavy groove and sparkling melodies which dominate the track. Excellent stuff from Digital Department.

The final remix on the package comes from Napalm who most progressive house fans will know as being half of the Napalm & d-phrag production duo. Napalm’s initial productions came courtesy of Jacco@Work’s LuPS Records imprint and ever since the Hungarian producer has been skyrocketing in terms of popularity. He’s now gone on to appear on Mistique, Balkan Connection, Stellar Fountain, Mirabilis, Baires and more. Napalm’s ‘Jenny The Junkie’ interpretation is a wonderful deep rework that re-invents the bass line into something much smoother and a touch more driving. The tough drums give it some great dance floor appeal while the soft flowing textures add just the right amount of beauty. Top notch work from Napalm and a damn fine release from Suffused Music.
