The latest release on System Recordings welcomes JP Gallesio to the label.
The Buenos Aires based producer first appeared on the scene in February of this year with ‘Puma Pride’. Produced in conjunction with fellow countryman Davy Ech and released by Balkan Connection’s BC2 division it got JP’s career off to a great start, and he quickly followed that up with an EP for Geoffrey Huber’s Stem & Leaf imprint. Now for JP’s System Recordings debut he presents his two newest studio productions entitled ‘Process’ and ‘ Rebellion’.
The EP begins with ‘Process’ which finds JP crafting a dreamy progressive house track. A sequence of powerful bass stabs carves out a unique and commanding groove which gives the track a big presence. A lead hypnotic line and subtle vocal accents provide nice sensory stimulation as the track flows to the main break. The dominant groove stays intact during the interlude and builds some nice tension. There’s no dramatic or overblown climax but rather the beats dropping in for an understated payoff which flows smoothly through a third act conclusion. The companion piece ‘Rebellion’ proves to be a great complement to ‘Process’ with its similarly powerful bass stabs and cool hypnotic elements. Nice EP from JP and a great showcase of fresh talent from System Recordings. Don’t miss it.
