Luis Bondio’s Classound Recordings returns after a two month summer break. The label has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the year and has become one of the premier outlets for the freshest tracks and collaborations from Luis Bondio. We last heard from the Argentinean producer with his ‘Imaginarium’ single on Nikko.Z’s ‘Dopamine Music’ which was one of Luis’ most elaborate compositions to date. For Classound’s seventh overall release we see Luis with a new collaboration with fellow countryman Santiago Teillagorry. Santiago appeared on Classound’s fourth release with his ‘Samsara’ EP and this marks his first production with Luis. The duo have crafted ‘Aquatic Process’ which comes with a remix from Silinder.
Luis has been turning out some very big productions of late but ‘Aquatic Process’ has a remarkable calm about it. Santiago’s ‘Samsara’ EP carried a similarly gorgeous vibe and ‘Aquatic Process’ might be even better. The delicately textured layers seemingly build endlessly and create a wonderful hypnotic landscape for the cool beats to work under. The break presents a subtle melodic theme while nicely incorporating more aquatic elements. The vibe here is otherworldly to say the least and one of the coolest that either Luis or Santiago have crafted yet. It’s one of those compositions that doesn’t have any striking or standout elements but rather so many intricate pieces that come together for an unforgettable track. Well done Luis and Santiago.
The lone remix is provided by Silinder who is making his debut on Classound here. The Irishman is known for being one of the most consistently excellent producers and he’s provided a bang on the money remix of ‘Aquatic Process’. You’d be hard pressed to find someone capable of crafted tighter more dance floor friendly grooves than Silinder. His rolling construction is completely intoxicating and builds immensely towards the break as subtle rhythms and escalating atmospheres drive the piece higher. The interlude keeps the groove nicely intact as the lush textures slowly fade to forefront before the beats drop back in for a big moment. Sitting at #2 in our overall Hype Chart expect to hear this one a lot in the coming months. Brilliant stuff as always from Gav and a killer release on Classound which is our favourite on the label to date.
