Michael A’s Genesis Music returns this week with a brand new single from the man himself entitled ‘Stars’.
It’s a another busy week for the Belarus based producer with a remix for Antrim due out on Balkan Connection and a long line of originals and remixes due up shortly. His latest for his home imprint is entitled ‘Stars’ and it includes a remix from fellow countryman Dmitry Molosh.
Every time Michael A drops a new production it seems to generate quite a buzz in the progressive underground. ‘Stars’ is no different and might be one of Michael’s coolest to date. The meticulous production qualities which have become the Belarusian producer’s trademark is on full display here again, but with an added bit of groove and funk. The warped feel this brings is what makes it stand out from Michael’s previous work, that ‘suck you into the vortex’ vibe which builds and builds should be massive on the floor and all of Michael’s clever transitions keep it really fresh throughout. Great stuff from Micheal.
The lone interpretation of ‘Stars’ is provided by Dmitry Molosh who is making his third appearance on Genesis Music. Much like Michael, Dmitry has also been enjoying support from Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J this year. His most recent release on Superordinate Music was much hyped and is currently sitting in the Beatport Progressive House Top 20. Dmitry’s interpretation of ‘Stars’ looks set for a similar fate as it’s already in the Release Promo Top 5 and it certainly packs some serious punch. It might be one of his most peak time productions to date in fact with its romping groove and escalating hypnotics. Following a huge first act a brief break transitions the piece into a stripped down section and then on to the main break, where a more distinctive club motif develops. It’s a dramatic moment, full of dark tonal themes and wicked rhythms, all culminating in a rush of drums and beats which should prove to be magic on the dance floor. Monster mix from Dmitry and another top notch release from Michael A’s Genesis Music.
