mier, transmit,

The 83rd release on Clinique Recordings features the return of Mier to the label for his second appearance.

The Russian producer first appeared on Clinique in December of 2013 with a remix of Pavel Svetlove’s ‘Summer Forest’. Now for Clinique’s 83rd overall release Pavel presents his debut single for the label entitled ‘Transmit’ which includes remixes from Matter and Jeremias Ferreyra.

Mier’s original version leads the release off with a strong progressive house vibe. Warm atmospheres, hazy vocals and granular sound design dominate the first half before some lead melodic elements enter the mix. These bubbly textures lead the track into the main break where a massive build results in a big dance floor moment. The second half soars even higher with the melodies and rhythms culminating for a great climax.

The first remix is supplied by Jeremias Ferreyra who is returning to Clinique for his third appearance. The Buenos Aires based producer has been adding nicely to his discography this year with appearances on Stellar Fountain and Balkan Connection South America. For his ‘Transmit’ interpretation Jeremias has turned in a a trippier and more groove oriented production that still makes great use of the original elements. It’s the spacious groove and sparsely laid out percussion that lets those big lead elements breathe even in their somewhat downplayed state. A great alternative to the original and one of Jeremias’ best.

The final remix is provided by Matter who is making his first appearance on Clinique. The Aussie producer has been one of this year’s most pleasant surprises. His productions on Balkan Connection and Stellar Fountain have been outstanding and his upcoming release on FutureForm is much anticipated. Matter’s ‘Transmit’ interpretation has been in our Hype Charts for the past several weeks and it’s fresh hypnotic style is a good reason why. It’s liquid-like waves of rhythm and charging percussion form a mesmerizing vortex and it’s tension filled break is the icing on the cake. Brilliant stuff form Matter and also my favourite version on the release. An all round great package from Clinique Recordings once again. Don’t miss it.
