model1, dusts, baroque records,

Baroque Records returns this week for an awesome slice of summer tech house. The storied UK imprint has been broadening its reach for many years now and the latest release from Model1 is another fine example of that. Hailing from Italy this is Model1’s 3rd overall appearance on Baroque Records and his latest entitled ‘Dusts’ includes two great remixes from Brett Gould and Ferdas Digital.

The original mix of ‘Dusts’ leads the release off with a wonderful blend of funky tech and progressive house. The dance floor appeal here is undeniable with great rhythms, smooth vocal hooks and a subtle complement of melodic themes that is positively sparkling. The main breakdown is a magic club moment waiting to happen; filled with euphoric tension and a great drop look for a huge reaction on this one.

The first remix is provided by Brett Gould who is making his first appearance on Baroque Records. The UK producer has enjoyed immense success the year with releases on Glasgow Underground and Toolroom Records. His unique studio creations are full of fluid, hook-heavy elements along with a wicked dance floor sensibility and cool contemporary vibes. His interpretation of ‘Dusts’ puts a deeper, funkier spin on the track for what results in a wonderfully smooth summer record. It’s not only a great complement to the original but should find favour with a very broad ranges of DJs out there.

The second and final remix is provided by Ferdas Digital who is returning to Baroque Records for his 10th overall appearance. The Russian producer has found a nice home on the UK label and his interpretation of ‘Dusts’ might be one of his best productions yet. In going with a more spacious construction the Russian producer has opened the piece up and as a result his well carved foundation is all the better for it. An all round groovy remix from Ferdas Digital and a great release from Baroque Records. Highly Recommended.
