Monojoke

The 36th release on Nikko.Z’s Dopamine Music welcomes Monojoke to the label for his debut EP.

Monojoke - Pranayama

The Polish producer has been a staple of the progressive house underground for several years. 2014 was highlighted by releases on 3rd Avenue, Clinique Recordings and Stellar Fountain all of which sit amongst his career best work. For Dopamine’s latest offering label boss Nikko.Z has picked out two of Monojoke’s finest in ‘Pranayama’ and ‘Asana’.

While electronic music has gotten increasing deep in recent years Monojoke has been much loved for sticking to his energetic brand of progressive house. ‘Pranayama’ showcases this wonderfully with its electric lines, charged drums and ethereal atmospheric ambiance. As the groove takes shape and the blissful qualities begin to develop the track reaches its main break where a more distinctive theme surfaces. This sequence of kaleidoscopic bells and swirling atmospheres takes the vibe higher and sets up an exhilarating peak time finish. Certainly one of Monojoke’s all time best productions and a sure fire winner for the progressive new school.

The companion piece ‘Asana’ finds Monojoke with a decidedly groovier creation. The Polish producer’s distinctive drums shine again and the shapely, techno inspired groove should prove ideal for the dance floor. Monojoke’s unique ability at crafting infectious melodies has never been more evident here with aquatically styled synths which escalate to the heavens alongside wispy hypnotics. It makes for a dreamy sensibility which Monojoke’s powerful groove offsets perfectly. Always a consummate craftsman the Polish producer has delivered another magic main break of epic proportions. It sets up another powerful conclusion and rounds out two A-side quality cuts from a producer who is seemingly always on the rise. Great stuff from Monojoke and another smashing release for Nikko.Z’s Dopamine Music.
