Monolink Drops Third Studio Album The Beauty Of It All

Berlin’s own Monolink has just released his third studio album The Beauty Of It All via Embassy One — a record that pulls back the noise to focus on raw emotion, subtle textures and a refined balance between the organic and the electronic.

Across ten tracks, Monolink (aka Steffen Linck) third studio album maps out an inner journey that doesn’t rely on spectacle. Instead, it’s a slow burn: grief and release on opener “Call of the Void”, fractured rhythms on “Perfect World” (co-written with Severin Kantereit), and the acoustic–electronic fusion of “Powerful Play”, which harks back to his busking days in Berlin before the clubs called.

There’s experimentation too: “Avalanche” (written partly in the Swiss Alps with Toby Siebert) builds patiently on vintage synths, while “In My Place” captures the raw imperfection of a one-take recording. Standout “Mesmerized” brings pulsing analog drums and one of Monolink’s strongest toplines to date, while “Promised Land” leans into Floyd-esque freeform energy.

The closing run feels like rediscovery. “Beacon” strips things back to piano and folk tones, “Phoenix” revives a long-shelved idea into an analog spark, and “Once I Understood” closes the record somewhere between lullaby and existential release.

Over the past decade, Monolink has carved a rare lane where live performance, songwriting, and club culture overlap. His debut Amniotic (2018) set the blueprint, Under Darkening Skies (2021) expanded it with darker cinematic tones, and now The Beauty Of It All feels like the distilled essence — clarity over scale, resonance over spectacle.

The Beauty Of It All is out now on vinyl, CD and digital via Embassy One.
