Noa Romana & Deersky – Force Of Life (Mistique Music)

Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic’s Mistique Music returns this week for one of the labels strongest releases this year. We’ve praised Noa Romana & Deersky at great length over the last year or two and rightfully so. The duo have crafted some of the most gorgeous atmospheric progressive house that we’ve ever heard. Add to that Deersky’s Soundteller Records has developed into a real force this year with a many great releases. This week sees the duo returning to Mistique for a new 3 track EP entitled ‘Force Of Life’.

The title cut is a masterful journey into spacey electronica once again from Noa and Deersky. A smooth, panoramic soundscape paints a wonderful backdrop while a wealth of spacey accents soon surround the framework. This is one of those productions that really creeps up on you; it’s so mesmerizing that before you know it there is some serious rolling energy built up and the track is rocking towards the breakdown. This is probably one of Noa & Deersky’s finest and most memorable records in that it really has some more identifiable lead elements than some of their previous work. The squirrelly lead synth and glassy keys which complement it really shine here and even though the track is almost 10 minutes in length you almost feel like it could be longer cause the hypnotic brilliance of it is just incredible. The second piece ‘Deep Passage’ is a much more laid back construction that comes with some amazing melodic accents. It’s dreamy surroundings are pure listening joy; the soft bassy swells, soft stabs and glimmering electronics create an amazing wall of textures that you can truly get lost in. Pure daydream material from Noa & Deersky that you’ll like be hearing a lot on the radio waves in the coming months. The final track on the EP ‘Layers On The Atmosphere’ brings things home with another very strong atmospheric quality. The warm bed of low end frequencies combined with the ethereal keys during the drop is both incredibly soothing and trance inducing to say the least. The spacey sweep which brings the beats back in is perhaps a minor element in the track overall but there is something very compelling about it and so many of the other elements here that generally go un-noticed in a typical club track. Noa Romana and Deersky have a special thing going and if you’re not already locked on to their music then you’re really missing out. Highly Recommended. Release Promo Hype Chart #7
