Peruvian electronic music producers Renzo Zong, J’Ugaz, and HardDisk have joined forces for their latest collaborative release, the ‘Komodo EP’, out now on Zompayra Records.

The three-track EP fuses each of the Peruvian electronic music artist’s unique sonic identity, delivering rhythm-driven, club-ready music that blends tribal percussion, organic textures, and subtle psychedelic elements, producing a sound both culturally rooted and forward-thinking for contemporary dancefloors.

Renzo Zong, who gained global attention earlier this year with his heritage-inspired ‘Del Perú’ EP, expands his creative vision through this collaboration. Having previously performed alongside J’Ugaz and HardDisk in a B3B set at Club Waikiki’s Backyard in Peru, the trio extends their synergy beyond the decks, becoming co-architects of a release that balances percussive intensity with immersive, atmospheric soundscapes.

The opening track, ‘Komodo’, sets the tone with driving beats, layered percussion, and hypnotic grooves. Bright piano motifs, dynamic basslines, and intricate vocal layers shape the track’s progression, creating a textured and energetic experience for the listener. The interplay of organic and electronic elements emphasizes both weight and warmth, establishing a strong foundation for the EP.

On ‘Sola’, tribal rhythms dominate, reinforced by gritty synth lines, dark arpeggiators, and syncopated vocal hits. A breakdown introduces airy pads and uplifting piano chords while the low-end rhythm maintains its forward momentum, balancing intensity with ethereal moments. ‘Another Night’ completes the journey with a bold, groove-centered bassline, commanding spoken vocals, and industrial-tinged synths, creating an immersive, forward-pushing dancefloor experience.

The ‘Komodo EP’ marks a definitive statement for Renzo Zong, J’Ugaz, and HardDisk, showcasing their shared vision for globally resonant electronic music. The release reinforces their growing discographies while highlighting Peru’s contribution to contemporary electronic and club culture.
