Praveen Achary – Space Machine (Replug) includes Cid Inc. Remix

Praveen Achary makes his debut on Cid Inc’s Replug imprint for the labels 28th overall release and first of 2013. The Indian producer has continued to rise through the electronic music underground in 2012 with appearances on Baires Records,  Mirabilis and Proton’s heavily influential Compiled & Mixed series. Praveen’s ‘Juicebox’ radio show continues to dominate the friskyRadio airwaves with the freshest electronic music  and a forthcoming label under the ‘Juicebox Music’ name is set to launch later on this year as well.  Praveen’s debut single for Replug is entitled ‘Space Machine’ and it comes with a remix from Cid Inc.

The Space Machine original leads the release off with some alien like electronics, strong bass tones and a  slow wave of chord changes which sets the tracks momentum immediately. Spacey accents, angelic pads and a squirrelly sheet of white noise up the intensity nicely and lead the track to the main drop. Here the rumbling bass tones create a vibrate foundation for the highly emotional backdrop which sets the stage for the introduction of a hook heavy set of rhythmic tones. A quick and impactful rise in tension is accompanied by the ascending tones which build to a feverous  peak as the full groove gets dropped back in for what should be a huge dance floor moment.  The finale of the record sees all the atmospheric and melodic elements coming together in perfect harmonic unison for a tastefully epic conclusion.

The lone remix of ‘Space Machine’ is provided by Replug label boss  Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc who also had an outstanding 2012 with appearances on Natura Sonoris, microCastle, Parquet and Iboga. Henri’s ‘Space Machine’ interpretation takes all the great elements from Praveen’s original and twists them into a futuristic techno groover.  The energy rises fast with big bassy swells, clattering drums and long grainy textures which dominate the first third of the production. Moving forward some sonically charged synths go through a series of deadly modulation as the atmosphere and presence of the records grows. Void of any lengthy breakdown Henri’s mix flows through a series of quick drops and electrically stimulating fills which push the sonic envelope further towards the edge and produce a dynamic apex which would seem tailor made for those peak time slots.
