Prog Lab Room 2 Warm Up Set Competition Results

48 of you battled it out for a chance warm up in Room 2 at Quivver’s gig @ The Prog Lab in Bristol this Friday, July 6th. But there can only be one winner!

Quivver’s performance at The Prog Lab marks the first UK date of his album warm up tour, where he’ll be exclusively playing tracks from his brand new album.

Already tested in Argentina and then tweaked back in the studio, Quivver’s album represents his finest ever work and his evolution as an artist. We’ve heard the album’s now been pushed back to September, so if you’re desperate to hear it then you’ll just need to come along to The Prog Lab on Friday or Noisily Festival on Saturday.

All mixes were featured in this Soundcloud playlist in spotlight on our Soundcloud channel so could check them all out.

Competition Prizes

1st Place – Warm up slot 22.00-00.00 @ at the Prog Lab, Bristol on July 6th + hotel + £50 travel expenses. You will be playing in the second room alongside Stuart Hodson and Ian Dillon.
2nd Place – your mix featured on our C-U Presents series, with interview and repost
3rd Place – 1 x mix repost to 34.5k followers

1st Place – Gaz Jones

Judge’s notes: “A good warm up mix and one we kept going to back to. We really liked the variation, the way it sets the tone plus how it peaks and troughs throughout without getting too lively. We also liked that Gaz dug deep in his record collection and played a string of tracks which are new to us. Unearthing gems and educating a crowd is something we feel very strongly about. See you on Friday Gaz!

2nd Place – Fu51on (Si – Lloyd)

Judges notes: “Second place for us and just missing out is Fu51on (Si-Lloyd), another excellent warm up set with great track choices and a superb journey. It was just pipped by Gaz’s set, so this was a very close second indeed.” We’ll be in touch to arrange your C-U Presents mix and interview, which includes reposts from other reputable underground channels.

3rd Place – Shaun Strudwick

Judges notes “Our third choice, is Shaun Strudwick, loved the mix and if it was for a set later on in the night, it could very well have been the winner. We have revisited this one a few times but just misses out but a superb set and one well worth giving an hour of your time to.” Your set has been reposted on our Soundcloud Shaun. Thanks for entering.”
