Madridโs genre-blurring producer Pumuki returns with a raw, six-track EP that feels as much like a sonic manifesto as a dancefloor weapon. Released on July 4th, 2025 via Cabaret Clandestino (Mexico), the EP merges indie dance sensibilities with a surrealist Latin edge โ twisted Spanish vocals, playful aggression, and dirty analog punch.
The original cuts โ โYa He Llegadoโ, โVuela Cometaโ, and โCuadriculadoโ โ channel a distinctly Iberian irreverence. Each track delivers oddball spoken-word segments over grainy synth lines and distorted, stomping beats. Itโs lo-fi, itโs theatrical, and it doesnโt care about your BPM expectations. Think Adult. meets Der Plan, but with a mezcal hangover and a flamenco smirk.
Remixes from Cosmosolar, Mr. Meerkat, and Mens At Rework expand the palette. Cosmosolar injects โYa He Llegadoโ with shimmering arpeggios and slowed-down swagger, while Mr. Meerkat turns โVuela Cometaโ into a nervy, glitch-laced journey. Mens At Rework brings a rubbery, leftfield disco twist to โCuadriculadoโ, warping the original into a percussive fever dream.
This is a release that thrives on tension โ between languages, continents, and aesthetics. At its core, itโs punk in spirit, but dressed in sequins, sweat, and irony. Pumuki isnโt chasing trends here. Heโs building his own bilingual club microverse โ and itโs gloriously unstable.
