Madrid’s genre-blurring producer Pumuki returns with a raw, six-track EP that feels as much like a sonic manifesto as a dancefloor weapon. Released on July 4th, 2025 via Cabaret Clandestino (Mexico), the EP merges indie dance sensibilities with a surrealist Latin edge — twisted Spanish vocals, playful aggression, and dirty analog punch.
The original cuts — “Ya He Llegado”, “Vuela Cometa”, and “Cuadriculado” — channel a distinctly Iberian irreverence. Each track delivers oddball spoken-word segments over grainy synth lines and distorted, stomping beats. It’s lo-fi, it’s theatrical, and it doesn’t care about your BPM expectations. Think Adult. meets Der Plan, but with a mezcal hangover and a flamenco smirk.
Remixes from Cosmosolar, Mr. Meerkat, and Mens At Rework expand the palette. Cosmosolar injects “Ya He Llegado” with shimmering arpeggios and slowed-down swagger, while Mr. Meerkat turns “Vuela Cometa” into a nervy, glitch-laced journey. Mens At Rework brings a rubbery, leftfield disco twist to “Cuadriculado”, warping the original into a percussive fever dream.
This is a release that thrives on tension — between languages, continents, and aesthetics. At its core, it’s punk in spirit, but dressed in sequins, sweat, and irony. Pumuki isn’t chasing trends here. He’s building his own bilingual club microverse — and it’s gloriously unstable.
