Joseph Capriati presents Richey V and Simone Zino on his label Redimension

Out now in both vinyl and digital formats

Redimension has previously caught our attention with a release by Klaudia Gawlas and the labels roster has also included tracks by Adam Beyer, Fur Coat and label boss Joseph Capriati.

Continuing to impress us with its peak time style of techno, the labels latest release features two artists new to our radar. Richey V and Simone Zino are both Italian artists who have each released music separately, but from what we can tell this is their first official collaboration.

The guys have a common link through VOID, which is a club night where they both play as resident DJ’s, so it seems a logical step they have also started making music together.

There are five tracks on the EP with four being part of the vinyl release and the additional one being a digital exclusive for those who prefer to shop with the likes of Beatport.

Ominous atmosphere and sinister tension are the key elements which make up the opening track Hysteria, and that sets a mood that also flows through the next track “Action”. The core sound of the EP remains focused on a similar aesthetic, but “Rave On” and “Empire” get a little more synth based with strong melody hooks.

We felt the digital bonus “Meteora” was one of the stronger tracks and overall it’s a really solid release that we expect will be popular with DJ’s such as Pan-Pot, Alan Fitzpatrick and Carl Cox.

It’s out now and you can get a copy HERE.
