Risers returns with Indian DJ and producer Migrant, respected for his emotive sound design.

Migrant has rapidly emerged as one of the most promising new talents in the global underground electronic music scene. His path into music began during extended periods of solo travel, where he composed tracks to fill the quiet hours between destinations. These formative years of introspection and movement deeply informed his approach to sound, giving his music an emotional depth that resonates beyond conventional club settings.

A turning point in his career came with a chance encounter with Four Tet at Magnetic Fields Festival. The experience inspired Migrant to transform what had been a personal creative outlet into a full-time pursuit. Since then, he has developed a distinctive style that fuses organic warmth with hypnotic, club-ready energy. His productions are versatile, equally suited to the intimacy of reflective listening or the kinetic energy of a sunrise dancefloor, demonstrating a rare balance of technical precision and emotional resonance.

This Risers mix arrives alongside the release of his forthcoming single “Anahata” (October 31), a track inspired by the Sanskrit word for the heart chakra. The composition explores the delicate balance between chaos and calm, a duality mirrored in the mix itself. Throughout the set, Migrant emphasizes connection over spectacle, delivering fluid, emotionally charged, and rhythmically intricate tracks that reflect his evolving artistic vision.

Beyond his work in the studio, Migrant is the founder of Belong Festival in Jaisalmer, a desert event that celebrates underground electronic music and community. Through both his performances and his curatorial projects, he continues to forge a sound and ethos that bridge the personal and the transcendent. Each release and set reinforces his growing reputation, positioning him as one of India’s most compelling emerging voices in electronic music, whose work commands attention on a global scale.
