Rogier & Stage Van H – DecOne / Bouncy Technique (Movement Recordings)

The 87th release on Tash’s Movement Recordings sees the duo of Rogier & Stage Van H returning to the label for a brand new EP. The Greek duo last appeared with their excellent remix of Luis Bondio & Mariano Favre ‘The Magic Ride of Mr. Roscor’ which was released in December of 2013. The duos newest offering for Movement is entitled ‘DecOne / Bouncy Technique’ and it comes with a remix from Fernando Ferreyra.

The lead track on the release ‘DecOne’ finds Rogier and Stage with one of their dreamiest creations to date. The deep and sultry groove is immediately enchanting and the meandering atmospheres and washed out vocal pads tantalize the senses mightily. The introspective atmospheres take the track on a magical journey which peaks during the second half with swirling synths and pulsating bass lines leading the charge.

The lone remix of ‘DecOne’ is provided by Fernando Ferreyra who is making his debut appearance on Movement Recordings. The Argentinean producer just dropped the most impressive production of his career on Luis Bondio’s Classound Recordings three weeks ago. ‘Aliens From Beyond’ was Fernando’s most musically inspired work to date and got 2014 off to a great start for him. Fernando’s ‘DecOne’ interpretation continues his strong momentum as he’s delivered a great complement to Rogier and Stage Van H’s brilliant original. The Argentinean producer has overhauled the track into something even deeper and more intricate sounding. Fernando’s unique chord changes have put a great twist on the original and offer a cool and distinctive alternative which is equally exciting.

The second and final original on the release ‘Bouncy Technique’ proves to be a great complement to ‘DecOne’. It’s laid back progressive groove is deeply mesmerizing while the bouncy stabs provide just the right amount of vibrancy to ignite the dance floor. Fans of Atmos’ legendary album ‘Headcleaner’ should absolutely love this as it comes with the same effortless flow and hypnotic energy which made that album so great. It rounds out a great release on Movement with two exceptional cuts from Rogier and Stage Van H along with an excellent remix from Fernando Ferreyra.
