The 38th release on Nikko.Z’s Dopamine Music welcomes Some Little Things to the label.
Leandro Moyano & Matias Medina hail from Argentina and make up the Some Little Things production team. With just two releases under their belts the Argentinean duo have already built a strong following through radio and chart support from Hernan Cattaneo. Their recent ‘Carnaval’ not only appeared on the Hope Recordings ‘Never Get Out Of The Boat’ sampler but also received a remix from Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile. Some Little Things now present their debut EP for Dopamine Music entitled ‘Hotest / Le Miroir’.
The detailed sound which Some little Things showcased on ‘Carnaval’ certainly left electronic music fans wanting more and the lead track here ‘Hotest’ more than delivers. A funky, house minded groove along with sweeping effects and playful hooks sets the track in motion. With the energy rising fluid hypnotic lines and a soft textural overlay carry the piece into the main break. The one minute interlude builds tension with warm bass swells, trippy motifs and escalating atmospherics; which sets up an amazing finale that your dance floor will certainly appreciate.
The companion piece ‘Le Miroir’ sees Some Little Things crafting an equally engaging production. Although just a few releases into their career it’s safe to say Leandro and Matias are already earning praise for their groove crafting skills. Another immaculately carved foundation provides the framework as waves of percussion and psychedelic effects flow through. The meandering themes carry the track into a suspense filled break where your senses get assaulted further with a haze of trippy electronic designs. It makes for an exhilarating conclusion and rounds out an incredible debut EP for Some Little Things on Dopamine Music. Don’t miss it.
