Stergios – Luna (Just Movement)

The much anticipated third release on Just Movement features the debut of Stergios to the label. It’s been another strong year for the Greek producer with appearances on Movement Recordings ‘Technical Progress’ Volume 4 collection and an EP for Future Synth Records. For his debut on Just Movement Stergios presents his latest studio creation ‘Luna’ which includes remixes from Michael A and Rogier & Stage Van H.

The ‘Luna’ original leads the release off and goes down as one of Stergios’ most tightly constructed productions to date. With a foundation of crisp beats, rolling grooves and dynamic drums it’s a track with an immense amount of contemporary club appeal. The drifting hypnotic rhythms, strong vocal elements and well textured melodies highlight a gorgeous climax which is surely the finest to ever come out of Stergios’ studio.

The first remix is provided Michael A who is also making his first appearance on Just Movement. The Belarus based producer was widely regarded as one of 2013’s most promising new producers. He’s continued that strong momentum this year with key releases on 3rd Avenue, Movement Recordings and Stellar Fountain. Michael’s interpretation of ‘Luna’ revamps Stergios’ huge original into a trippy, percussive bomb that’s sure to find favour with DJs like Hernan Cattaneo and John OO Fleming. Michael has also provided a second ‘Space’ rework which carries the same strong groove but with a stronger atmospheric presence.

The third and final remix on the release comes from Rogier & Stage Van H who are returning to Just Movement for their second appearance. The Dutch duo provided a remix on Stage’s debut album ‘Just The Beginning’ and also delivered one of Movement Recordings strongest releases of the year with their ‘DecOne / Bouncy Technique’ EP which was released in March. For their ‘Luna’ interpretation Rogier & Stage have delivered a gorgeous atmospheric rework that is rich in character and texture. An elaborate production that complements the previous mixes very well and provides a perfect end to the strongest release on Just Movement to date. Don’t miss it.
