Drum and bass pioneer โSub Focus returns with double A side club release โโSolar Systemโ โand โSirenโโ, out 26th July via Virgin EMI. Illustrating two shades across the drum and bass spectrum, โthis club focussed double-single is highly anticipated with fans and is the last in the current series of releases.
Sub Focus is best known for his state-of-the-art live shows and diverse back-catalogue, including โTidal Waveโ and โRock Itโโ. A regular at the likes of โCreamfieldsโ, โSW4 and a resident at โAmnesia Ibizaโ, he also headlined โBrixtonโโs iconic โO2 Academyโ last year.
His most recent single was a collaboration with fellow scene innovator โDimension โon vibrant single โโDesireโโ, which spent a number of weeks on the โBBC Radio 1 A-list โand has generated over 30 million global streamsโ. Further demonstrating his versatility, he also recently remixed โMother Tongueโ,โ a track from British metal band โBring Me The Horizonโ, to masterful effect.
The release comes in the midst of โSub Focusโ โmammoth summer tour, having already played EDC Las Vegasโ, โDour, Glastonbury (3 sets across the weekend) and โBBC Radio 1โs Big Weekend โ- where he performed a B2B2B set with Dimension โand Wilkinson โ- โin recent weeks. Looking ahead, he will play a flurry of festivals including Untold, Boardmasters, Let It Roll โand continue his residency at โAmnesia, Ibiza.
