The 12th release on Crossfade Sounds features the debut of another superb up and coming producer to the label. Tytus aka Tytt was born in Bydgoszcz, Poland where he grew into one of the countries hardest working DJs. His cool blend of tech house, techno and melodic sounds earned him many residencies in his home city. Now based in Taiwan Tytt’s production career is off to a great start with his debut single out this week on Crossfade Sounds. The Polish producer’s first single for the label is entitled ‘Best To Smile’ and it comes with remixes from: Tom Palash and Jacob Seville.
The ‘Best To Smile’ original begins with a very cool, melodic groove that’s accented with some lovely bells and dynamic drums. As the track builds smooth vocal elements, squirrelly electronics and really fresh sounds complement the groove as it reaches the main break. The soft ambience and warm vocal gates which feature in the breakdown create a gorgeous interlude which gets expanded upon through the second half of the record. The vocals really come alive with a variety of effects and cool gates which run through the framework on its way to a warm climax. An outstanding and incredibly unique track from Tytt.
The first remix is supplied by Tom Palash who also hails from Poland and is making his debut on Crossfade Sounds. Tom’s provided a slightly more stripped down version of ‘Best To Smile’ which still retains all the funkiness of the original and adds some unique twists along the way. The fluttery harmonics really stand out and the clattering drums and ethereal vocal gates continually working their magic all the way through. It’s a blissed out journey that’s still got a great amount of dance floor appeal. Top notch stuff from Tom.
The final remix on the package comes from Jacob Seville who would have to be one of the more well known producers from Poland. Currently based in Barcelona, Spain Jacob was one of the original DJs pushing a progressive house sound in Poland. Appearances on dirtybird, Vise Versa and Asymmetric have more than solidified his place amongst the industry’s finest producers. For his ‘Best To Smile’ interpretation Jacob has provided a great addition to the other two outstanding versions. Based around an incredibly funky bottom end with some wicked modulation a killer groove is evident straight away. The wobbly framework keeps things firmly on the dance floor while the gorgeous vocal elements drift perfectly over the top. The contrast between the rough and character filled low end and the heavenly sounds which fill the top end are really something special. Great remix from Jacob and another unique and quality filled release from Crossfade Sounds. Release Promo Hype Chart Top 25
