Balkan Connection returns this week for the labels 233rd overall release. It features the hugely up and coming Uvo returning to the label for his sixth overall appearance and a new single entitled ‘With Out No Worries’ which includes remixes from: Marc Pollen, Ewan Rill and Hugo Ibarra.

Kevin Rodriguez aka Uvo is based in the northern part of Mexico and has been much talked about of late. Hernan Cattaneo has been supporting many of his productions both on his radio show and in his monthly charts. ‘With Out No Worries’ is one of Uvo’s deeper and more enchanting sounding productions. A lazy groove sits at the foundation with some meandering atmospheres complement it well. It’s a steady builder with a lot of spacey electronics that cast quite an ethereal vibe as the track progresses. Ultimately it’s an ideal mood setting record for a variety of rooms and it’s cool to see a new original from Kevin after a slew of wicked remixes.

The first remix is supplied by Marc Pollen who is fresh of his ‘Just You’ EP which contained 3 outstanding club tracks. The Dutch producer has stayed true to the deeper theme from the original and crafted a marvellous remix. A warm rolling groove is well complemented with bubbly acid lines and fresh vocal sample all for what results in a deep, spacey journey that is our favourite version on the package.

Ewan Rill provides the second interpretation and he’s delivered another rocking club interpretation that is certainly the biggest on the package. There is no denying that Ewan is one of the hottest Russian producers at the moment. He’s incredibly prolific but not to the detriment of production quality at all. His ‘With Out No Worries’ has another one of his incredibly infectious grooves. The rolling rhythms are going to be dynamite on the dance floor and when combined with all the swirling electronics and dynamic stabs you’ve got a killer record in the making.

The release is closed out with Hugo Ibarra who is making his first appearance on Balkan Connection. The Mexican producer has built up a nice discography since mid 2011. Stripped, System, TRR and Sounds Of Earth have all featured his unique take on Tech House and now Hugo can add Balkan Connection to that list. Hugo’s With Out No Worries’ interpretation really stands out with its long bassy swells and wavering hypnotic lines. Trippy modulation and some ultra cool chord changes during the drop are the real highlight and setup the second half for a strong finish. Great stuff from Hugo and an all round solid release from Balkan Connection. Release Promo Hype Chart Top 25
