With Andrew Best’s remix of Vlada D’Shake’s ‘Floating’ getting released on Music To Please Friends this week we take a look at what’s been rocking his dance floors in the latest edition of What’s In Your Box?

Andrew Best

1. Arara – Art In Quadrat (Powel Remix) [Submarine Vibes]

“My favourite track so far from Submarine Vibes, a great remix from Powel.  Although this was released in February it’s still a firm set opener or early doors track.  Lovely deep vibes which set the scene perfectly.”

2. German Angeleri – Mango (Julian Rodriguez Remix) [E Sound Records]

“Keeping things on a deeper tip this track nicely introduces some more elements and melody to my set.  Excellent remix from Julian for a label I’m currently working with.”

3. Vlada D’Shake – Floating (Andrew Best Remix) [Music To Please Friends]

“This was a great track to remix.  Hats off to Vlada for producing such a good original track.  I tried to make this remix in line with the tracks and style that I play.  Cant wait to play it at the You Belong boat party!”

4. Hunter/Game – Genesis [Just This]

“I love the material these guys produce.  A perfect mix of lofi ish analogue sounds with really nice synth work and production. Winner!”

5. Mo’ Funk – Power Of Calmness [Music To Please Friends Promo]

“Our  forthcoming release from Goran.  This one is well…Funky!  An electro-esque bassline, fat drums and lovely pads.  Perfect mid set funk.”

6.Guy Mantzur, Roy RosenfelD – Epika [Kompakt]

“THAT SUB!!!  Excellent producer(s), Excellent track, Excellent label.  Guy is really pushing a fresh approach with his sounds and style.  Love this one.”

7.Noir Ft. Caitlin – Let It Go (Johannes Brecht Remix) [Noir]

“I’m a massive fan and supporter of Johannes’s work.  Very clever production with a nice mix of organic sounds with a nice rolling subby bass.”

8.Tim Englehardt – Somewhere In Your Arms (Dale Middleton Remix) [Parquet]

“Parquet is another label I’m a massive fan of and Dale has forged a sound recently which he seems to have settled right into and his work is going from strength to strength.  Hats off sir for this one!”

9. Oliver Schories – Fields Without Fences [SOSO]

“Pristine production as always from Oliver.  This one has a slightly oldschool feel with the main riff line which works for me especially when it’s done like this.”

10.Daniel Trim – Novi [Glasgow Underground]

“I first heard the promo for this from a friend who was lucky enough to get it!  I’m gonna put it out there that this is one of the best tracks I’ve heard for a long time and it genuinely gives me goose bumps.  Crisp, innovative production and a melody that has summer written all over it.  Wow….”
