With Reinier Zonneveld’s remix of Ruttenbergs ‘Clash of the Coconuts’ out this week on Manual Music, we take a look at his favourite tracks of the moment in the latest edition of Whatโs In Your Box?
1. Reinier Zonneveld โ Sharp Bust (Original Mix) [Stil vor Talent]
โMy debut EP on Oliver Koletzkiโs Stil vor Talent opens with Sharp Bust. Full on peak-time sound, works great on the dancefloor and been playing it out for a long time now.โ
2. Paride Saraceni โ Just For One Day (Original Mix) [Tronic]
โI have been in love with the work of Paride Saraceni since a long time, I have basically all his releases from the last 3 or 4 years in my playlist. His new EP on Tronic coming on 7 march is no different, and the title track is a great addition to his catalogue, and will certainly set the vibe at many festivals in 2016″
3. Secret Cinema & Enrico Sangiuliano โ Trrbulence (Original Mix) [Drumcode]
โPPAAANG PPAAANG PPWAAN WHAAANGโฆ Whatโs not to love? Future classic by two amazing producers. The extremely skilful designed break with regards to sound design tops this one of.โ
4. Alex Under โ BA3 (Original Mix) [CMYK Musik]
โAlex Underโs capabilities in programming great synth sequences and modulations are apparent throughout his whole catalogue, and a perfect exampleย of this is BA3. Outstanding track that still sounds fresh some time after the release now.โ
5. Felix Krocher โ Ammunation (Loco & Jam Remix) [Riot Recordings]
โThe new EP of Felix Krocher on Frankyeffeโs Riot Recordings is good as a whole, but the Loco & Jam remix stands out for me. Fantastic hypnotic groove, combined with smart effects and background sounds create a really nice energetic techno track.โ
6. Heiko Laux โ Savannah (Original Mix) [Klockworks]
โDreamy and beautiful soundscapes, with some acid 303 sounds flying around, perfect!โ
7. Marc Marzenit โ 9909LA (Warehouse Mix) [Tronic]
โMy favourite track of the 9909LA EP of Marc Marzenit on Tronicโฆ The nice round kickdrum combined with a smart playful arrangement makes this one great for the dancefloor.โ
8. Surveyor Mode โ Oak Island (Original Mix) [Resopal Schallware]
โIโm a long time fan of Resopal Schallware, a very diverse german based label. One of their latest releases by Surveyor Mode continues in their classy, trippy deep techno style.โ
9. Wigbert โ Moog Move (Original Mix) [SCI+TEC]
โWigbert delivers a fantastic track, with a great groove and trippy (Moog) synth work. The modulation and interplay between the different sounds really is something that stands out.โ
10. Ruttenbergs โ Clash of the Coconuts (Reinier Zonneveldโs Tension Remix) [Manual]
โWhen Ruttenbergs asked me to remix his latest EP on Manual, I really had to dig deep to twist the housy original to a more technoish track, the way I like it. However Iโm happy with the outcome and have since played it a lot in my livesets.”
