Audioglider – Sternen (Stellar Fountain)

Stellar Fountain continues on an incredible roll this week with a brand new single from Audioglider.

Audioglider - Sternen

The long standing Hungarian imprint has been a force in the Beatport charts of late as years of hard consistent work seem to be paying off. This week we see the label showcasing a brand new single from Audioglider alongside remixes from Bablak and Following Light.

We last heard from Audioglider just two weeks ago when his ‘Memory Lapse’ single was released courtesy of John Johnson’s 238W Inc. The self professed shoegaze aficionado now returns to Stellar Fountain with ‘Sternen’ which comes in as one of his all time best. There’s an immediate summer vibe coming from this one straight out of the gate. From its warm, round beats, ethereal vocal gates and hazy melodies it’s just one of those productions that’s an absolute joy to listen to. Smooth and effortless with tons of emotion throughout it’s just hard not to love it and the inspirations are evident here, think Ulrich Schnauss with a more progressive minded sensibility and you’re probably not far off. Gorgeous work from Audioglider and probably one of my favourite tracks to ever come out on Stellar Fountain.

Both remixes included do a great job at putting those incredible melodies into a different context. First up Russian artist Bablak makes his label debut and remoulds the track into something a touch darker and clubbier. The vocals get put to great use here, trailing across the framework as it’s dark underbelly carves out a killer groove, and while it never reaches the full melodic power of the original it’s sits nicely as a dubbier, more dance floor ready companion. Great stuff from Bablak.

Closing the release out is Ukrainian artist and Inmost Records label boss Following Light who is making his 11th appearance on Stellar Fountain. Kirill Guk aka Following Light has to be one of the hardest working people in the underground. He somehow manages to find the time to run three labels (Absurd State, Aeriform and Inmost) and also get at least a production or two released each week. He’s brought his own unique twist to ‘Sternen’ and closed the release out on a strong note. With the dubbiest approach on the release Following Light focuses on airy hypnotic elements and delicate tones to create an effortless, sleek sounding production. There are no big moments, rather a subtle yet emotionally powerful break and a third act led by two tone bass swells and some lovely top end melodic work. Great remix from Following Light and another great release from Stellar Fountain. Don’t miss it.
