Choomba Debut’s New Tech/House EP ‘Choomdooskins’

Fresh from the premiere of the project at Field Day in Australia, Perth bass producer Luude and cousin Tim Benson unveil their new tech/house project and collaboration Choomba. With their debut EP “Choomdooskins” set for release on February 13th, they will embark on a mini-tour in spring in Australia and New Zealand in support of the new project.

Opening the EP is “Hypnodance”, a truly hypnotizing tune led by futuristic synths and punchy basslines. It’s an intoxicating track that will have any house lover in a beat-induced heaven, full of funky chords patterns and equally captivating vocals.

Quickly followed by “Way Out”, the second tune embodies four superbly programmed minutes of slick house beats. Slowly building the chord progression with an undulating vocal sample laid over top of the track, “Way Out” transcends with the details of a rumbling bass line and humming refrain. It’s an infectious club tune sure to keep dancefloors shaking all night long.

Next up is “Don’t Make Me Wait”, a trancelike tune with a thumping bassline and atmospheric vocals that go hand in hand with the rattling percussion. With “Tissue” rounding out the EP, it’s a banging house heater showcasing the talents of Luude and Tim. Led by a pounding bassline, it’s a body shaking record that will be ramping up the energy levels of dancefloors worldwide.

First conceived in the midst of a trip to Amsterdam last year during ADE, the Choomba project was born as a new creative outlet and different sound than you would expect from Luude. Moving away from Luude’s signature bass heavy sound, Choomba resembles funky and banging tech/house with hints of Luude and Tim’s wild flare. As a result of a wild weekend, and Choomba adds:

“We wrote this whole thing having a mad time in a hotel room, between going to parties for a week – we just hope that vibe comes across and people are frothing it”

As Choomba’s brand draws inspiration from 90s skater culture and clothing, their vibe mirrors the skater lifestyle, with a carefree attitude and is all about having fun and enjoying the moment.

With a rapidly growing fan base on account of their richly dynamic sound, “Choomdooskins” is out now!
