Coyu’s “Post Raw Era” new trilogy and looking forward to in 2020

Coyu’s musical output goes from strength to strength with each new release showing the Barcelona-based DJ, musician and label owner flex his producer muscles in diverse and stronger forms. The Big Cat’s latest venture arrives in the form of the ‘Post Raw Era I’ first volume of an absolutely impossible to resist trilogy, and guaranteed to smash the most demanding techno and underground club to pieces.

As we just said, “Post Raw Era” it’s a new EP series to be released throughout the first quarter of this 2020 by Coyu on his own Suara imprint. Actually the 1st episode is already out. It was officially published yesterday February 3. Now back to the “Post Raw Era” concept. It’s a trilogy composed of 3 original tracks on each release whose main intention is to evince, to dive into the more visceral and underground side of the Spanish producer. Taking a step beyond his well-known “Raw Tracks” volumes. On this first chapter Coyu is inspired by his perception of 90s and early 00s underground and dance-floor sounds. Conjuring up an unstoppable bunch acid laced stompers, hammering hits, really hard percussion grooves and over 135 BPM techno blows.

About the EP series, and looking forward to in 2020, Coyu himself explains “after my debut album “You Don’t Know”, I sat back in the studio and made a lot of new music. It is the main reason that 2020 should become a very intense year. At least as far as record releases are concerned. Now in February began this “Post Raw Era” trilogy on Suara, but before summer I will release at least 2 EPs and some more remixes. I can’t announce where yet, but they are three record labels that are far from my usual profile, which makes it even more interesting. In addition, I have started a couple of parallel projects (one of them I will announce in the coming months) and a few days ago the “all-nighters” of “You Don’t Know” began. First stop was at Watergate in Berlin where I played for 8 hours. The idea here, all-night-long DJ sets where to show all my amalgam of sounds. I will repeat the experience very soon, this February 14th, this time in Los Angeles (at a secret warehouse). As said before, 2020 comes very busy!”
