The latest release on Luis Bondio’s Classound Recordings finds the label re-visiting Diego Poblets ‘Frog EP’ for two brand new remixes.
Released in September of 2014 the 3 track collection was a showcase of the talented Argentinean and he has since added key releases on 3rd Avenue, Mistique Music and Sound Avenue to his discography. Now almost 2 years later we see Classound inviting Tash and Nicholas Van Orton to reinvent two tracks for the 2016 summer season.
First up Movement Recordings label boss Tash makes his Classound Recordings debut following excellent outings on Nikko.Z’s Dopamine Music and Michael A’s Genesis Music. The much loved Greek artist takes the track into progressive techno territory with a driving groove and a variety of fresh electronics. Phasing vocals add a mesmerizing flair while quirky synths bring some excellent funk to the groove. Tash’s nose for the dance floor is spot on here once again with a billowing tonal theme and nasally lead which slowly obliterates your senses as the breakdown progresses. Massive remix from Tash.
The second and final interpretation on the release finds Nicholas Van Orton also making his label debut. The BCSA label boss is one of the veteran members of the strong Argentina scene and his label boasts a discography of over 300 releases. Now fresh off a single for One Of A Kind we see Nicholas making his much anticipated Classound debut as he reworks ‘Frog’ in his own inimitable style. Warm, full grooves are something we’ve come to expect for the much loved Argentine and he’s worked that magic here once again with a luminous low end driving the piece from the outset. Spacey electronics and rolling arps making for a dreamy first act before an even more exquisite break seals the tracks atmospheric brilliance. A journey into magical sounds from Nicholas and the perfect way to round the release out. Another great offering from Luis Bondio’s Classound Recordings once again. Don’t miss it.
