Apollo Music Group is a Chicago based label that draws its influence from the city’s home-grown sound.

The jackin’ sound of Chicago House is one of the oldest electronic music genres, and it takes its title from the city where it was born, pioneered by artists including the likes of Derrick Carter, Ron Hardy and Apollo Music Group label owner DJ Heather.

DJ Heather was one of the DJ’s to emerge from Chicago and become someone who received DJ bookings all over the world, and Apollo Music is a label she runs in tandem with Dan X and Lil’ Mark.

The latest offering from Apollo Music Group comes from Local Options who are a duo that have also featured their tracks on Toolroom, Large Music and Nite Grooves.

Alongside the three original tracks there is also a remix from Ed Nine who reworks the tarck “No Love” to provide a stripped back version of the original.

With chunky percussion and deep pads this tech house release has a floor-filling sound true to the times Chicago House sound.
