Grammy-nominated DJ and producer FISHER has unveiled his hotly-anticipated new single โYeah The Girlsโ, featuring singer-songwriter Meryll, out 2nd September on his Catch & Release label.
Already generating a serious buzz after being teased in his sets throughout the summer, โYeah The Girlsโ is a slick, high-energy club cut that combines heavy synth stabs, hypnotic vocals and a deep, pulsating bassline. Shot and directed by Corey Wilson, the masterfully produced and choreographed music video, perfectly captures the playful nature of the track.
The release follows on from the equally raucous reworking of Bob Sinclairโs legendary โWorld, Hold Onโ which has already hit 9.3 million streams, and comes amidst a typically busy summer for FISHER, which includes his all-new weekly residency at Hรฏ Ibiza, and forthcoming sets at Creamfields, Brunch In The Park Barcelona, Sonus Festival and Zurich Open Air to name but a few.
Known for his wild sense of humour and energetic DJing style, FISHER first burst onto the electronic scene with tracks โStop Itโ and โYa Kiddingโ and has since become one of the sceneโs most in-demand talents. He then dropped โLosing Itโ, his breakout track that earned him his first Grammy nomination. Fast-forward to 2022 and the track has now amassed over half a billion streams – cementing its status as one of the biggest dance records of the decade in the process.
Meryllโs soothing voice and dreamy lyrics are a perfect match for EDM. Inspired by both a broad range of pop artists and a love for the rave, she writes songs for the dancefloor, and has released across multiple genres with the likes of Sub Zero Project, Dynoro, HVME and Future Class.
