Luke Slater features as the next ‘Live at Cocoon Ibiza’ artist under his Planetary Assault Systems guise

The legendary techno DJ and producer delivers at Sven Väth’s label night with Tim Ower playing live alongside

As Planetary Assault Systems, UK titan Luke Slater has constantly laid down a blueprint for the future of techno.  The renowned live performer is considered a visionary who fuses mind-melting minimalism, catchy cyborg funk and cinematic soundscapes that are famous for captivating audiences. He did that once again back in July as part of Cocoon’s 20th anniversary season and now the results are laid down on CD for us to relive the magic.

Over the course of the mix, Slater ensnares evocative sci-fi imagery and melodic minimalism, with smoothly shifting drum-funk intensity and spiritual passages of intergalactic sound. Throughout he serves up classic tracks from his evermore famous back catalog, alongside some more contemporary cuts, causing a harmonious blend as the set takes you on a techno inspiring adventure.

Planetary Assault Systems ‘Live at Cocoon Ibiza’ drops on Cocoon Recordings on 18th October – preview/stream the mix here: Cocoon Recordings Soundcloud
