Ones To Watch: Ethereal, Genre-fluid Electronica Act, ‘Beacon Bloom’

‘Droplet’ is the band’s debut release with Australian and New Zealand based boutique label Beat & Path.

James Allen, Ryan Ferris and Thomas Isbister make up Otautahi outfit BEACON BLOOM – an ethereal journey of live Electronica carved from synthpop, space disco, house, techno and funk.

In a back alley deep house club in Berlin in 2014, an inspirational seed was planted which saw a 21 year old Ryan Ferris drop off the path of the singer-songwriter into the glowing abyss of electronica.

Four summers, a number of experimental projects later and with the addition of creative powerhouses James Allen and Thomas Isbister, Beacon Bloom emerged.

We premiere their debut single, ‘Droplet’, an electronica journey of haunting vocals and walls of hypnotic ocean-like synths, driven along by the low end of deep house. The track takes thematic inspiration from the planetary water cycle and the following premise: as we are all ultimately one, there is nothing to fear.
