During this year’s ADE, Carl Cox is to headline at Amsterdam’s Warehouse Elementenstraat on October 17th. The party is Awesome Soundwaves which “asks the artist to challenge themselves in their creativity and the listener to challenge themselves in their listening.” It promises to be something quite different to the norm and well worth checking out, so here we look at some reasons you should go.
Carl Cox (playing a hybrid DJ live set)
The big man has had another huge season in Ibiza, with techno and house from across the ages colouring his grooves. He plays with enthusiasm and power and here will showcase a hybrid live and DJ set that will be utterly thrilling.
Over a decade, and thousands of mixing jobs, since he first began his journey Hannes made big wave with his first productions on Steve Bug’s influential Poker Flat label and since then hasn’t looked back. Expect a real melodic trip.
UK talent Playford is riding high off the success of his recent album, which was sa cosmic exploration of widescreen techno with lush synths, expansive beats and real cinematic vibes. Expect him to play plenty from it at this event.
Saytek has been resorting techno to his own style for years. He is a master in the live area and always cooks up electric soundtracks that constantly shapeshift and are full of drama. Tonight will be no different.
Christopher Coe is an Irish sound artist who is inspired by landscape. He is a techno producer and has worked with many artists globally under the name, Digital Primate, for many years. For an organic techno soundscape, look no further.
