Coming off her biggest and busiest summer yet, Sam Divine is heading into winter with a highly anticipated second season of her Openers party concept.
The tour kicks off on October 27th in Newcastle and takes in Hideout in Brighton, XOYO in London, Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff, and finally Joshua Brooks in Manchester on November 30th.
Sam Divine is a modern house sensation who has spent the last ten years working hard to get to the top. The former record store employee hosts the Defected radio show, has topped iTunes charts with her In The House compilation and has played all over the world and held residencies everywhere from Amnesia to Ushuaia. This summer she played endless headline slots at mega festivals around Europe and now looks to step out of that routine and do something different.
The concept for this exciting Openers season is simple: Sam returns to her roots and explores the art of the warm up DJ, where pace, balance and atmosphere are all vitally important in building a mood. The party will see her plays five intimate venues with crowds under 500 people. They will be personal, up close events where she can really connect with her audience and take them on deep, involving musical journeys, so will allow people to experience Sam like never before.
Each party takes place in some of the key small clubs in the country, where people really go to dance, the floor is packed out and the energy levels are off the scale. Each one will find Sam supported by DVINE Sounds resident DJ Jess Bays, an increasingly talked about selector who has been earning her stripes recently across many of London’s venues with her slick and well balanced sets.
Sam Divine is a DJ who knows what to play and when to play it, and once again this new Openers seasons will prove that in spades.
