โProdigalย is my love letter to the big beat era,ย which in my opinion wasย led by legends The Prodigy, specifically Liam Howlett.ย The Prodigy sound was such a huge part of inspiring me to do what Iย do today,ย and Iย wanted thatย essence.
Feel Aliveย has other bits thatย corruptedย my 90sย mind.ย The synth riff summons Daft Punk vibes, while the repetitive vocal carries the groove over a very raw one.ย Synthwise,ย I shrugged off the overdone Unison saws andย settledย with a nice simpleย double detune like they did in the old days.
In A Day, was actually the first tune I finished for the EP. One day I wasย chatting withย a friend and complaining about howย I sometimesย overthink productions andย techniques. Heย suggestedย challengingย myself to do a whole track in one day andย notย overthink anything. And sure enough, In A Dayย wasย born.โ โ Sean shared.
